 Andy Higgs is a pioneering force in the intersection of Web3, artificial intelligence, and digital identity. With over two decades of leadership in emerging technology, Andy has built a reputation for bridging innovation and impact—shaping systems that empower individuals and communities through trustworthy, decentralized infrastructure.

At Centrality, he led initiatives in self-sovereign identity and on-chain micro-transaction architecture, laying early foundations for user-owned ecosystems. At Futureverse, Andy scaled those concepts by integrating AI-driven identity intelligence and interoperable digital credentials into an expansive metaverse framework. 

Now as Executive Director of Digital Identity NZ, Andy is steering Aotearoa’s digital trust landscape into its next chapter. He’s a key advocate for the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework, and a voice for inclusive, citizen-centric innovation that aligns with both human rights and commercial scalability.
