Member Spotlight - Dave Hayward

Most people hesitate at the moment of decision. They open a new tab. They tell themselves they’ll come back to it. They wait for a better time.

Dave Hayward doesn’t.

Friends have been calling him “Hasty Hayward” for years - not because he’s reckless, but because when something is clear, he moves. Quickly. Intentionally. Without unnecessary delay. That instinct made him the first person to purchase a ticket to the debut Revved Summit (and the subsequent 2026 summit!). Not after social proof. Not after a launch event. Not after a dozen conversations. He saw it - and acted.

The timing helped. Dave was feeling particularly flush - a large invoice had just landed - when an ad for a brand-new leadership summit appeared in his feed.

Minutes later, his phone rang. It was Rochelle Moffitt, Revved Co-Founder calling to say: “Just letting you know - you’re our very first ticket holder!” A nickname, once again, justified.

But this wasn’t impulse. Dave is a marketer by trade - and the brand was sharp. “It felt like a place where people were actually building things,” Dave says. “Not networking for the sake of it. Not pitching. Not selling courses.” That clarity mattered. For someone who spends his days helping founders turn brilliant work into commercial, measurable, and systemised growth, clarity isn’t a detail - it’s the whole point.

Dave is the founder of Europa Creative Partners, a B2B marketing consultancy and agency that helps founders and leadership teams build marketing that actually works - the kind that fills pipelines, shortens sales cycles, and gets businesses noticed for the right reasons.

Most of the businesses Europa works with are already doing brilliant work. They’re just struggling to make it visible. They’re too busy. Too close to the product. Or too modest to articulate their own value. Dave’s work lives in that gap - translating what’s already great into growth that’s commercial, measurable, and systemised. Marketing that behaves less like a mystery and more like infrastructure. As he puts it: “Marketing shouldn’t feel like a mystery. It should feel like a machine.”

Europa is also AI-first - not as a headline, but as a practical advantage. Faster testing. Smarter execution. Scale without unnecessary friction. Built for how marketing is actually evolving, not how it used to work. Future-focused. Human-first. Outcomes over noise.

Building alongside the business

2025 was a strong year for Europa. But when Dave talks about what he’s most proud of, he doesn’t default to revenue graphs or growth charts. He talks about building in parallel. Alongside running the agency, Dave launched:

Both took time. Neither promised immediate ROI. Both were worth it. Because, as Dave explains: “Results aren’t actually up to us. The only thing we can control is great work and great service. If we do that, results follow.”

That belief underpins Europa.

The work behind the growth

Like many founders in Revved Assembly, Dave isn’t grappling with a lack of opportunity. He’s grappling with how fast is the right kind of fast.

Europa grew faster than expected - a good problem - but one that forced him to build capacity ahead of certainty, without eroding quality or exhausting himself and his team. Dave is candid about how deeply he cares about his work and the people doing it - which makes delegating and letting go harder than most leadership books suggest.

That tension - between ambition and sustainability - is where real leadership lives.

Why Revved mattered - and still does

Dave didn’t purchase a ticket to the debut Revved Summit because he was looking for another event. He did it because it felt like a place where people were building real things, not posing or selling to each other. It arrived at the right moment. At a time when much of the business narrative felt heavy - even defeatist - Dave was surrounded by ambitious founders doing the opposite.

Revved became the catalyst.

“When you’re in a room with people who don’t know what they’re doing, everything feels hard,” Dave says. “When you’re in a room full of people who do… everything feels possible.”

Looking ahead

In 2026, Dave’s focus is clear. He wants Europa to be more systemised, profitable and less dependent on him being at the centre of everything. More space for thinking. Better work for clients. And more energy for family - which, as he puts it, is ultimately the point.

And for Revved?

“The Summit is the emotional peak,” Dave says. “The magic is what happens in between.”

That’s Revved Assembly.

That’s why these spotlights exist. To surface the people doing the work. To connect builders to builders. To turn community into opportunity.

If you’re building a B2B business and want marketing that actually works, Europa Creative Partners is a very good place to start.

Revved Events

Revved is New Zealand’s boldest annual business and leadership summit - a one-day ignition where brave minds collide, solutions spark, and energy flows into people, business, and community. Every ticket to Revved unlocks The Assembly - our private community where belonging becomes action. Inside The Assembly, leaders stay connected through four activity streams: Ignition Gatherings (networking and connection), Future Forge Labs (Hackathons and experimentation), Momentum Forums (learning and thought leadership), and Revved Exclusives (bespoke events and experiences). Together, they transform collisions into accountability, conversations into action, and one flagship day into a year of measurable progress for Aotearoa.
